Home Fraud Defense™ Accessibility Statement
Version: 1.0 Effective Date: May 4, 2026
Home Fraud Defense, LLC ("HFD") is committed to ensuring that the Home Fraud Defense websites, mobile apps, and learning platform (the "Services") are usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We design and develop the Services with accessibility in mind and continuously improve them as standards and tools evolve.
1. Our Commitment
HFD aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as our internal standard for new features and as a remediation target for legacy features.
2. Specific Steps We Take
- Semantic structure. We use proper headings, landmarks, lists, and labels so that screen readers can navigate the Services efficiently.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color contrast. Text color and background color combinations meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Alt text. Informative images include text alternatives; decorative images are marked decorative.
- Form labels and errors. All form fields have associated labels; error messages are programmatically associated with the relevant field and are not signaled by color alone.
- Resizable text. Text can be resized up to 200 % without loss of functionality.
- Reduced motion. We respect the operating system's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Captions and transcripts. Pre-recorded video content includes captions; audio-only content includes transcripts.
- No keyboard traps. Modals and dialogs trap focus appropriately while open and release it on close.
3. Known Limitations
We continue to improve, and a small number of legacy components or third-party embeds may not yet meet our internal standard. Known issues are tracked internally and prioritized in each development cycle. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us using the details in Section 5 below; we will work with you to provide the information or transaction by an alternative accessible means while we remediate.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
The Services are tested for compatibility with the following assistive technologies and recent browser combinations:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Browsers: Latest two stable releases of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari
- Mobile: Latest stable release of iOS Safari and Android Chrome
- Magnification: ZoomText, macOS Zoom, browser zoom up to 400 %

6. Section 508 / Procurement

This statement is reviewed at least annually and updated whenever we ship a material accessibility-affecting change to the Services. The effective date at the top reflects the latest review.
